Washington D.C.

Another day of biking in the sun for Coast to Coast for MS! After getting lost several times, we finally left Baltimore, and began knocking the miles out. Today was a total of 72 miles, to Arlington, VA.

Alex Klohr's family followed the team for most of today, and even ate lunch with us. It is always nice for us to get to know another member of the team's family. 

The sun was beating down on us again today, and we took a few more breaks than usual. Everyone still did a great job today, and there weren't any injuries! 

The team spent the last 25 miles biking on trails into Washington, D.C. It was easily the best part of today's ride! We've decided we love bike trails. 

On one of the trails, a bicyclist passed us going over 27mph. Cameron, and I immediately picked up our pace to stick with the racer...and we did. For about two miles, we were able to keep his pace of 27mph before coming across an intersection. Almost makes me want to get into racing when I finish my trip. Almost. 

 

Tomorrow's plan is to continue biking towards Key West, Florida. Yup.
